Find qualified graduates and connect with your community

The S2B Program makes it possible for Microsoft Partners and Customers to recruit the best students or recent graduates as recommended by leading universities/colleges and provide them with the opportunity to work on innovative projects.

Partners should simply identify a project that could be done either as an internship or as a job, determine the competencies needed for students to be successful and post offers on the S2B portal. The platform will search for those student profiles that best match the required knowledge and skills.

Internships offer a channel through which Partners can communicate to local universities/colleges the competencies required to innovate and operate a People Ready business. By sharing this information, Microsoft is able to work closely with the local universities/colleges to offer specialised curriculum and training resources.

Why offer internships?

Internships are a win-win situation for all involved.

  • Internships save employers money.
Internships are a cost effective way for employers to test potential hires and a structured internship program can cut hiring expenses, such as staff time and training, in half.

  • Internships provide the employer with a competitive advantage.
Employers gain the intern’s knowledge of the latest academic information and skills, allowing them to keep a competitive advantage.

  • Internships can fill a public relations function for the company.
A student will also take a good experience back to friends, faculty, family, and other employers, continually building a strong and positive reputation for the hosting company.

  • Internships can be a successful recruiting tool.
Internships give both the employer and the intern a look at how well they fit at relatively low cost and risk. Employers are beginning to use internships as a recruiting tool and are hiring former interns at an increasing rate.
